Via My VA ("we," "our," or "us") operates the web application available at viamyva.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the Service:

• Google Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive or store your Google password.
• Google Drive access: With your explicit permission, the Service accesses your Google Drive files solely to provide the features you request (such as linking or displaying files within the app). We do not store the contents of your Drive files on our servers beyond what is necessary to render them in the app.
• User-generated content: Content you create within the Service, such as tasks, tickets, notes, and media uploads, is stored in our database to provide the core functionality of the app.
• Usage data: We may collect basic technical data such as browser type, device type, and pages visited to help diagnose errors and improve the Service. This data is not linked to your identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

• Authenticate your identity and maintain your session
• Display your name and profile photo within the app
• Store and retrieve the content you create in the Service
• Provide Google Drive integration features you have authorized
• Diagnose technical problems and improve app performance

3. How We Do Not Use Your Information

We are committed to protecting your data. We will never:

• Sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party
• Share your email address or personal data with advertisers
• Use your data to serve you advertisements
• Access your Google Drive data for any purpose beyond what you have explicitly authorized within the app
• Use your data to build profiles for marketing purposes

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Google Firebase, which provides industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Access to the Service is restricted to authorized users only. While we take reasonable precautions to protect your information, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Google API Services

Via My VA's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features that are visible and prominent in the Service.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service uses the following third-party platforms to operate:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, hosting)
• Google OAuth 2.0 (sign-in and Drive access)

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and user-generated content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us at the email address below and we will remove it within a reasonable time.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Revoke Google Drive permissions at any time via your Google Account settings

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
